Relaunch of Rebeccabeardsley.com

My site is relaunched with a fresh new look, and will be moving forward with a whole new focus of content, and body of work that is for you, the hairdresser. You, you are who I have in mind when I write in the morning, after I close my eyes and contemplate.

While sipping my coffee, I ask myself, what does our industry need? What do hairdressers want?  What would make their lives easier? Are you ready for the answer?

The purpose of this blog is to bring you content that will have your pause for a moment and think about your life as it is, and think about where you would like to be in a week, a year, three years, 5 years, 10 years and beyond.

One of my guiding thoughts in life is if you can’t dream it, it won’t happen. Dream larger than life, beyond where you thought you might ever be. Because unless we can imagine it, it will not happen.

I’ve dedicated my life the hairdressing industry for over 25 years, and absolutely love it. Did I always? The answer is no. The path has led me away from and back towards a few times, but about 15 years into it, I discovered my passion for the craft, and an upmost respect for those who came before me.

But I had to find my own way of doing it. I had to search out my mentors, and without the internet, it was expensive, and difficult to find, unless you were assisting a master hairdresser.

A year ago I opened my studio ShineForth Salon, to finally serve clients in a way that respected myself, and offered them the prime experience.  Now that I’m settled there, I knew the time was nearing to get on with the larger piece of work, that would touch more hairdressers all over the world.  I needed to work with the larger community of hairdressers, you,  who want help developing themselves, and their careers.

With this in mind, my desire is to create a hub for hairdressers who seek a better way of doing things, a more sustainable, meaningful, and impactful career, and life. Taking your job of getting clients in the chair and out, into a vocation, where lasting happiness and peace of mind can grow, and ultimately make you more money.

Look around my site, and see what is there waiting for you. I invite you to be part of a community of hairdressers that is committed to personal growth, and ready to elevate not only themselves, but the profession, then this is the place for you, and I can’t wait to get to know you.

Let’s roll up our sleeves and dig in!

Question:  Where would you like to be in one year, three years, or five years? Share your answer on Facebook, or Twitter.
